Most cycle apps predict your period. Déjà tells you what the day in front of you is actually good for — one practice, one note on food, one question worth sitting with.
Built in Victoria by a health-education teacher who spent her twenties on hormonal acne and severe PMS, and got out of it through Traditional Chinese Medicine rather than another prescription.
Today
The date, the moon and the day you are on. That is the whole home screen.
Your phase
Day 8, follicular. The hormone graph, and one paragraph on what it means for the next few hours.
The method
Theory, practice, food, self care, meditation, breathwork. Six cards, chosen for the day you are on.
The library
Bellows Breath, 4m 12s. Ocean Breath, 5m 4s. Tension Release, 2m 24s. Nothing runs longer than it needs to.
Press play
Get Unstuck is three minutes and forty-seven seconds. Headphones, then back to your morning.01 — The four seasons of a cycle
Menstrual · days 1–5
Estrogen and progesterone are both at their floor. The app stops asking anything of you — shorter practices, warmer food, and a journalling prompt about what you are finished carrying.
- Practice
- Yin and long exhales, 8–12 minutes
- Food
- Warm, iron-heavy, cooked rather than raw
- Prompt
- What am I ready to put down?
- Energy
- Lowest of the month. Plan around it, not through it.
No period? The app runs the same four seasons off the moon instead. Same practices, same prompts, different clock.
Open it once a day. That is the whole ask.
Three minutes if you are busy, twenty-five if you are not. There is no streak to keep, no badge, and nothing that goes off at you. The app is there when you open it and quiet when you don't.

What is Déjà Well?
An iPhone app that maps each day of your menstrual cycle to one of four seasons, then gives you one practice, one note on food and one question for that day. It draws on Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda and the Celtic wheel of the year, alongside the ordinary physiology of the cycle. It was built in Victoria, British Columbia.
Is it free?
The seasonal wisdom, the daily astrology forecast and browsing the practice library are free. The cycle calendar, the daily hormone graph and the day-matched practices are $12.99 a month, with seven days free first. You cancel in iPhone Settings, not by emailing us.
What if I don't have a period?
The app runs the same four seasons off the moon instead. If you are pregnant, post-menopausal, on continuous hormonal birth control or your cycle has stopped for any other reason, you get the same practices and prompts on a lunar clock.
Where does my data go?
Nowhere. What you enter stays on your device and is not shared or sold. Déjà Well was made by women, for women, and cycle data is the last thing anyone should be trading.
Is there an Android version?
No. It is iPhone and iPad only, iOS 15.1 or later. There is no Android build and none is currently in progress.
